"happy halloween"

Halloween

Gentry was Little Red Riding Hood this year! We went to Old Town Ft. Collins for some chaos, oops, I mean trick or treating! There were about 3 billion kids, most of them crying. Gentry (and I) was a little overwhelmed and not too happy until her friend Laney the Skunk showed up. We got about 5 pieces of candy and decided to have lunch with our husbands! We did take Gentry around the neighborhood to a few houses and made up for the candy booty we missed out on downtown. Gentry analyzed each piece of candy after dumping her basket onto the floor. This candy should last her about 6 months!!

Pumpkin Patch Round 2!

We made a trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend. This visit was much more successful in the are of getting some cute pics. We went with some of our best friends, and the girls had fun running in the corn and looking at the (nasty) petting zoo animals.
And of course, we were able to get the token family photo! I am always glad when we have other people with us, because Alex or I are always the ones behind the camera, which doesn't make for many family photos.

Cute family, HUH?!!

No, this isn't yummy roasted corn that we bought at the snack shack, it's a cob that Gentry found on the ground. Perfect.

A Daddy's Girl

Gentry is truly a daddy's girl and it just almost makes me cry it's so sweet. She for sure has her mommy moments, but there is nothing that brightens her day more than daddy coming home from work. Here are some sweet pictures of there times together over the past few weeks!

Waiting for daddy...
I should mention that Effie is also a daddy's girl. I seriously did not stage this photo! This occurs in my house almost everyday around 6:3o pm.

Gentry and Alex building lego cars and racing them at Lego-Land in San Diego...

Alex can get Gentry to go back to bed whenever she is in denial that she needs more sleep. She totally fights it with me. There's something about her daddy...

Gentry is so lucky to have such a great daddy that loves her and is excited to see her too when he gets home. Thanks daddy for being so loving and fun to play with!!

Family Photos

I have been taking family pics for some friends, and here are some of the great shots I was able to get of these photogenic families. Fall is such a good time for pics too...

I don't charge, just like getting the experience, if there are any other takers out there...

Cousins

We took a trip to San Diego this past weekend to visit family. This is the first time Gentry has been old enough to actually play with her cousins. She loves older kids, and her cousins Sam, Max and Sadie loved "watching" her. Doesn't Gentry look like she belongs in their family?! I guess it's all the blond hair!
Anyway, thanks Johnson's for letting us crash your place for a few days. It was fun seeing you guys.

My Best Friends' Wedding

This weekend was one of my best friend's wedding. I met her on the first day of school in 1997. It was my first day at a new school and she yelled from across the classroom, "Are you a new girl?" Me not necessarily loving the spotlight, was a little embarrassed. But because of her forwardness and loyalty as a friend we have maintained that friendship for the past 11 years!
She was such a beautiful bride and I am so happy that she had "her big day."

Here are a few shots I got...
