Our great friends came over on Saturday night, and Robin and I were getting really hungry while waiting for our husbands to finish grilling our dinner. Robin pulled out what she called her "all-time favorite snack!" Yes, this is for real, and yes she might be a freak!!

It's been awhile since i have written anything! Gentry and I were out of town last week. It may have been one of the most "challenging vacations" (vacation...yeah, right) I have ever taken. I knew my trip was doomed when Gentry puked all over herself on the way to the airport! Ten ounces of curdled whole milk, do I need to explain how nasty it was. We couldn't pull over to clean things up, because we were already running late! So i jumped in the back with 3 napkins and a travel pack of wipes! That's all I have to say about that.
The rest of the trip was just about as relaxing as the trip to the airport. Gentry was recovering from some bug she picked up. She was whiney and clingy for the first 4 days of our trip*(*note, our trip was 5 days long). The only break I got was while she was napping. At least she napped and slept great at night.
Needless to say, it wasn't the best trip. BUT, I got to spend time with 2 of my best friends from high school/college. They each have kids as well, so it was fun having them all together. It's awesome that we have stayed great friends all these years despite different life journey's.
Would I ever do it again, you ask. DUH, of course I would!!!!!

Little Miss Sunshine...

I thought Gentry looked so darn cute in her little sun dress, pigtails, and sunglasses! Such a girly girl, but i guess she doesn't have a choice when her mommy dresses her!

I know i keep saying this, but the weather, finally, is nice enough to be outside! The wind last week was ridiculous, and before that we had more snow! This week we are finally getting warm sunny weather, and I am headed to Orlando! I guess it will be just as nice there! Gentry and I are making the trip to Orlando to visit our friends' the Anderson's.

Sweet Little Baby Boy...

My friends just had a sweet little baby boy on Saturday. I went and visited and got some sweet pictures of him. As of yet, I don't know if he has a name, but that's the way these people fly! Anyway, he is cute!

Finally...Pigtails!

Gentry has finally grown enough hair to be able to "style" it. She will be sporting these pigtails quite often, because they are so girly and fun!

Yeah, you saw it right. I was being ridiculous and took pics of the game on TV! I had to somehow "archive" the game for Alex, this is a major moment in Jayhawk history. Alex has been waiting for this since i met him 7 years ago!

Down on the Farm.

Alex has been out of town this weekend, skiing. So Gentry and I have had to keep ourselves entertained! We spent some time at a farm here in town. Gentry can make a "moo" sound, it's really cute! But the cutest one is her monkey sound. She has a book of animals, and when we get to the monkey page, she goes crazy. Gentry is really taking a liking to animals. Her new thing is wrestling with Effie, and she tried picking up a friends' cat! That didn't go over so well!





We went to the farm with our great friends, Kayt, Rafe, and Benson. Rafe is 13 months older than Gentry and Gentry is 8 months older than Benson. Rafe and Gentry "play" pretty well together. As you can see, Gentry hasn't quite mastered the slide!
