More House Progress

We have picked back up on house projects over the past month! We got the lightning rod tree taken down a couple months ago. We had the house painted this past week, and it made SUCH an improvement to the outside of the house. The roof actually looks normal now, although we will get it replaced next summer because it's really old. Alex installed the fence in our back yard, and it looks great and serves the purpose of keeping dogs, and kids, in the yard. That way I can lay on the couch and eat bon-bons while they play outside unattended! JK.

The Dresses

I wanted to spice up the walls a little in the baby's room. I thought little dresses would add the cute "girly" touch I was going for. I got together all the scraps of fabric I had left over from Gentry's bedding I had made and put together these cute little dresses, added some buttons and ribbon, and wah-la...cuteness. I think they turned out pretty stinkin' adorable!

Ambition Took Over.

I know, I know, I am jumping the gun a little here. But I just got in one of those moods. I decided to get paint for the baby's room, and just get the room painted. Well, I went a little further than that and just set up the whole dang room. The only detail missing is the baby that will reside in this room. Just about 3 months shy of that happening. But don't worry, I have plenty of other things to keep me occupied over these next 3 months, i.e. my 18 month old!
And you may be wondering where Gentry was during this decorating extravaganza?! Sleeping and watching "the count" video about 4 times! And, did I mention that Alex was not a part of this? Yeah, he was down in Denver overnight! I told you... the Ambition took over and there was no turning back! Thanks to my sis-in-law though that helped me paint.

From a different angle

Gentry was being cute last night pointing at "mommy's baby." So i grabbed the camera and took a few shots of her poking and prodding. I have tried to get her to be patient enough to feel the baby kick...YEAH RIGHT! I can't even get Alex to be patient enough! Although, I think it's a universal fact that anytime you try and have some other person feel the baby, they automatically stop moving. Little tricksters...
If you are wondering the angle here, I was sitting on the couch, holding the camera above my belly! I look huge, and in fact am. I am measuring almost 2 weeks ahead of where I am, but the doc says there's just nowhere else but "out" for my babies to grow! If you saw me or pics of me with Gentry towards the end, I was a cow. And am headed there again! Fun Times...

Aspiring Artist

I took Gentry to the grand-opening of this new indoor play center here in town. They had tons of things for the little kiddos to do. Gentry's favorite was the "potato" painting. Of course it was red paint and she was wearing a brand new stark-white shirt! Remind me again, why I would even buy a stark-white shirt for an 18 month old?!
